If your vehicle is showing rattling noise from inside the door panel over bumps, here are the most likely causes and the parts you'll need to fix each one.
Plastic retaining clips often break during removal for window or speaker repairs. If not replaced, the plastic panel will vibrate and rattle against the metal door shell over bumps.
The bolts securing the window regulator tracks or motor can vibrate loose over time, or may not have been fully tightened during a previous window repair, causing the assembly to rattle.
Speaker mounting screws can back out from heavy bass and road vibration. This is especially common if aftermarket speakers were installed without proper mounting brackets or foam baffles.
Small plastic clips that guide the metal rods connecting the interior handle and lock actuator become brittle and break with age. This allows the bare metal rods to rattle against the inside of the door shell.
The mechanism that prevents the door from opening too far is bolted inside the door shell. If these bolts loosen, the heavy metal assembly will rattle loudly over bumps.
