Failing Crankshaft or Camshaft Position Sensorurgent

These sensors contain internal wire windings that can become brittle and break over time. When the engine gets hot, the components expand, separating the broken wires and cutting the vital timing signal to the engine computer.

Failing Ignition Coils or Control Moduleurgent

Ignition components are subjected to extreme under-hood temperatures. As they age, their internal insulation breaks down, causing them to short out or lose spark when hot, leading to sputtering and stalling.

Overheating Fuel Pumpurgent

A worn electric fuel pump can overheat and seize up after running for a while, especially if you frequently drive with a low fuel tank which normally cools the pump. Fuel pressure drops, starving the engine until the pump cools down.
